After our hectic South African and American adventure we were so excited to come back to Thailand and start our new leg of the tour which would see us returning to the northern orphanages we visited last year.
It was amazing to see the impact we had had. We visited Chiang Mia, Chiang Dao and Chiang Rai with a couple of new stops in Wiang Pa Pao and Lampang.
The children saw out photos from last year and it was lovely to hear their stories of who had gone on to college and who had been adopted, some going to Germany, France and even America.
The ones left were so excited to see us again, not only remembering us but all we had taught them. We left new packs in each place and had fun days giving them some respite from the smoggy, hot days of March.
We finished off in Chumphon back with the boys of the New Life Project who then dropped us off at Baan Eurphon where they were taug how to make coffee from scratch from the beans and a tutorial on how to make earth huts. Hopefully they can continue to share their knowledge and help each other.
Our last 100th show was back in Krabi, we were invited to be part of ASCA’s world Circus Day which saw participants form 41 countries having a social circus day to bring awareness of the merits and fun that circus brings to children.
What an amazing end to our tour this year which will hopefully put us in good stead as we apply for our official charity status back in the UK this summer.
